Reviving that good old house doctor feel is something that Dr V strives towards. She enjoys the diversity of all patients from birth to the elderly. She loves the ability to help patients with their urgent health needs, as well as looking after all their chronic illnesses using all the resources available at their dynamic practice. Incorporating ultrasonography into her diagnostics is paramount to her practice.
Viyonne's areas of interest include emergency medicine, paediatrics, female health and anaesthetics. She also has a special love for teaching and does this annually for the KZN Advanced Trauma Life Support course (ATLS). In her spare time Viyonne loves running, gardening and being outdoors with her family. A work-life balance is very important to her as she loves to be involved in the lives of their children, Brian and Angela. |
Growing up in Pietermaritzburg, Bruce has always had a love for Kwazulu Natal. With its beauty and diversity of people, moving to Scottburgh with Viyonne in 2018 seemed incredibly exciting.
Bruce has a passion for both medicine and surgery and has a special interest in innovative medical technology that redefines healthcare provision. The state-of-the-art digital practice of SFC has thus provided an exhilarating platform for him to grow and develop within all his fields of interest. Outside of work, Bruce, V and their children Brian and Angela love exploring our beautiful country and coastline. Fishing, mountain biking, camping, water-skiing and 4x4ing are some of the things the Longmore's love to do. |
Minette is from Pietersburg in Limpopo and she completed her medical degree at UKZN. After her two year internship in Durban she relocated to the rural Limpopo to do her community service year. At present she is also doing her Masters of Medicine with a focus on patient’s perspective of their diagnoses and treatment.
Prior to studying medicine she obtained a BSc in Human Genetics as well as an Honour degree in Aquaculture. This took her to London Healthrow airport to work as an import supervisor for exotic animals and livestock. Her interests include trail running and cycling, reading and painting. She has a passion for geriatric medicine as well as psychiatry. Dr McCabe joined the Scottburgh Family Clinic team in January 2019. She is extremely excited to offer up to date, modern medicine to the Umdoni community. |
