Dr Viyonne Longmore MBBCh(Wits), DA (SA) Reviving that good old house doctor feel is something that Dr V strives towards. She enjoys the diversity of all patients from birth to the elderly. Her areas of interest include emergency medicine, paediatrics, female health and anaesthetics. She also has a special love for teaching and does this annually for the KZN Advanced Trauma Life Support course. In her spare time Viyonne loves running, gardening and being outdoors with her family. A work-life balance is very important to her as she loves to be involved in the lives of their children, Brian and Angela.
Dr Minette McCabe BSc (UP), BSc:HONS (UL), MBChB (UKZN) Originally from Pietersburg in Limpopo, Dr Minette completed her medical degree at UKZN. Prior to studying medicine she obtained a BSc in Human Genetics as well as an Honours degree in Aquaculture. This took her to London's Healthrow airport to work as an import supervisor for exotic animals and livestock. Her interests include trail running and cycling, reading and painting. She has a passion for geriatric medicine as well as psychiatry. Dr McCabe joined the Scottburgh Family Clinic team in January 2019 and she is extremely excited to offer up to date, modern medicine to the Umdoni community.
Dr Bruce Longmore MBBCh(Wits) MBA(UCT) Dr B has a passion for both medicine and surgery and has a special interest in innovative medical technology that redefines healthcare provision. The state-of-the-art digital practice of SFC has thus provided an exhilarating platform for him to grow and develop within all his fields of interest. Outside of work, Bruce, V and their children Brian and Angela love exploring our beautiful country and coastline. Fishing, mountain biking, camping, water-skiing and 4x4ing are some of the things the Longmore's love to do.
Dr Deon Hoffman MBChB, DOH, M Clin Pharm Deon has been in GP Practice since 1990 and carries a wealth of experience in provision of family medicine. The first 17 years of his professional career was spent on the South Coast in Amanzimtoti. In 2007 he left for Australia where he spent more than ten years honing his skills and learning from esteemed professionals in the field of skin cancer management. During this time he gained invaluable surgical experience which he continues to utilise. Following his time in Australia he returned to South Africa and settled in Pennington. Joining Scottburgh Family Clinic in 2023, Deon remains dedicated to making a positive impact on patients' lives, ensuring their well-being, and offering them holistic care.
